Moneyplant Competitions – Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to every competition and prize draw Moneyplant runs at events. The details for each event, such as the date, location, prizes and draw date, are listed under Current and recent events below. They may also be published on our website or social media.

The Promoter
Moneyplant Financial Services Ltd, 118 Great South Road, Papakura 2110 (“Moneyplant”, “we”, “us”).

How to enter

1. Fill in a Moneyplant entry form at our stall on the event day. You need to include your name, mobile number and email address, and tick the box to accept these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entries close when our stall packs up at the end of the event, unless the event details say otherwise.
3. Only one entry per person per event. We’ll remove any duplicates.
4. Entry is free. You don’t have to buy anything, and you don’t have to use any of our services. Ticking the financial advice boxes is optional and won’t change your chances of winning.

Who can enter
5. You must be 18 or older and live in New Zealand.
6. Moneyplant staff, their immediate families, and anyone helping to run the competition can’t enter.

Prizes
7. The prizes for each draw are listed in the event details.
8. You can’t transfer a prize or swap it for cash. If a prize becomes unavailable, we may replace it with one of equal or greater value.
9. Gift cards and vouchers come with their own terms and expiry dates. Treat them like cash once you have them, because lost or stolen cards can’t be replaced.

The draw
10. We’ll draw the winners at random on the draw date listed in the event details, from all valid entries for that event.
11. We’ll contact the winners by phone and/or email, using the details on their entry form. We may also share winners’ first names on our social media, but only with their permission.
12. If we can’t reach a winner within 5 working days, we’ll draw that prize again.
13. We may ask a winner to show ID before we hand over the prize.

Instant-win games (for example, spin the wheel)
14. Prizes from instant-win games are collected at the stall on the day, while stocks last. These games are separate from the prize draw, so playing isn’t required to enter and doesn’t give you extra entries.

Your personal information
15. We collect your details to run the competition and to contact the winners. We’ll store them securely under the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy.
16. We’ll only contact you about financial advice if you tick the consent box and choose areas of interest on your form. If you do, an adviser will get in touch within about a week of the event. There’s no obligation.
17. You can ask to see or correct your information at any time. You can also opt out of hearing from us at any time by contacting us at peter@moneyplant.co.nz

General
18. Entering a competition means you accept these Terms and Conditions.
19. We’re not responsible for entries that are incomplete, can’t be read or reach us late.
20. We may change, postpone or cancel a competition if something happens that’s outside our control.
21. Our decision on anything related to a competition is final.
22. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
